Memo No. 007-22: New Financial Aid Opportunity: Virginia Alternative State Aid (VASA)
Please help spread the word about a new process that will enhance college affordability for even more students who call Virginia their home.
Virginia students who are ineligible to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), including undocumented students and those with Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status, now have a way to access state financial aid, the VASA.
See the attached VDOE Superintendent's Memo #007-22 and share it widely in your programs. We know that college affordability is a major issue for our students and their family members; identifying sources of aid can help address the barriers.
